Lon Torman began his writing career directing public relations for an airline before transitioning into travel writing and editing for a group of travel magazines. A former publisher of Holiday magazine, Lon has written travel pieces for GQ magazine and others during a travel writing career that took him on assignments to over fifty countries.  Over the past thirty years, he has lived in Brazil, the Bahamas, the Philippines, Holland and England soaking up the unique cultures in each locale. Together with his wife, Carmen, Lon has also developed an action/thriller set in Brazil’s Amazon rainforest. That novel is scheduled for publication in MID 2019. Lon and Carmen’s idea of a great day starts with a cup of coffee and their laptops anywhere near the ocean. Most of their time is spent in Central Florida enjoying time with their three daughters, and a Persian cat named Elle.

Rebecca Carroll is the oldest daughter of Lon and Carmen. She is a graduate of Florida State University’s School of Motion Picture, Television and Recording Arts where she developed a screenplay as her Honors thesis in 2002. The inspiration for her story came during a visit to Glastonbury Tor in England where, in the dark night, she counted satellites and lit her way with a mobile phone. The screenplay – Search for the Sword – became the basis for Anne du Lac and the King’s Birthright, the first in a series of historical novels for pre-teen and teen readers. Following her graduation from film school, Rebecca apprenticed as a script editor at Celtic Films Entertainment in London. She is now a Department Chair at Full Sail University. Some of her favorite moments are spent with her husband and two young children at Orlando’s theme parks.
